Reuben Arthur has become the first Ignatian to win a medal in the 100 metres final of the School Olympics held at the Olympic Stadium. Reuben said “the whole experience was amazing. To compete here just weeks before the Olympics and in front of so many people was a massive pressure but I dealt with it”.
Reuben’s achievement is one the College is extremely proud of as pupils from 13,000 schools all over the country had competed to win a place at the Olympic Stadium.
The school was founded in Stamford Hill, South Tottenham in 1894 and moved to its current site on Turkey Street in 1968. The College is in the Trusteeship of the Society of Jesus and is proud to be a Jesuit school.
