Times of the School Day

The normal school day runs from 8.30am to 3.10pm. Please note that on the last day of each full term the school will finish early at 12.30pm.

Students can be in school from 7.30am to 4.30pm for lessons, library work and enrichment activities.

Pupils arriving early to school should use the supervised areas including Breakfast Club which is open from 7.30-8.30am. and the Library which is open from 8.00-8.30am.

The school week is organised into 25 one-hour lessons; five one-hour lessons a day. The day also incorporates registration and assembly time, and movement time to ensure lessons are one hour long.

At the end of the day, unless involved in after-school activities such as training sessions, intervention groups, enrichment or detentions, pupils should go straight home after school has finished.

Any student who wishes to stay at the end of the day to complete homework, may do so in the Library which is open from 3.10-3.45pm. The junior and senior playgrounds will be locked at the end of the lunch break. Any pupil who has missed their train may sit quietly on the benches in front of the Senior Playground until it is time to walk to the station.
