College Celebrates Excellent A Level Results 2020

13 August 2020

Congratulations to our Year 13 students and their teachers on achieving excellent A Level results again this summer.

We are so proud of the achievements of each and every one of our students.  This has been an unusual year to say the least and they have shown enormous resilience in the face of uncertainty but their hard work and determination has reaped dividends and culminated in success.  Despite the disruption this year, we are delighted with our students performance.

With almost every student receiving an offer from university, and 75% of students gaining a place at their first choice, there is much to celebrate, for example:

Outstanding Individual Performances

Ryan (A*A*AA) -  Medicine at University of Cambridge
Joseph (A*A*A) - Mathematics at University of Nottingham
Antonio  (AAA) - Geography at Royal Holloway
Memphis  (AAA) Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University
Jian (A*BC) -  Law at University of York
Rheion (ABB) Law at University of Sussex
German (BBB) Marine Biology at University of Southampton
James  (BBB) Medicine at University of Nottingham
... and many others.

We are also delighted that some of our students are able to pursue interesting courses related to their career aspirations.  Some of which are:

Daniel  (CCC) Fire and Rescue at University of Wolverhampton
Angelo  (DDE) Aviation Operations with Commercial Pilot Training at Kingston University
Leslie  (CCC)  Biomedical Science at University of Kent

Once again, our students have made superb progress.  Well done!  This  is testament to their hard work and the high quality of teaching and support from our staff and the support of parents and carers.

Our thoughts are with our Year 13 students as they embark on the next stage of their life journey.  They will remain part of our community and will be in our thoughts and prayers as they go into to world to make their mark.

“We are incredibly proud of the academic achievements and the wonderful results of our year 13 students but as importantly, if not more so, we are proud of who they are.  They have developed into fine young men and women who will continue to make a positive contribution to society.  It is wonderful that our students have the academic qualifications that they need to access the universities and courses of their choice.
I am incredibly grateful to our dedicated staff who go above and beyond day in, day out to support our students.

This is a very happy day for St Ignatius College."
