College Celebrates Excellent GCSE Results 2020

Congratulations to our Year 11 students and their teachers on achieving excellent results again this summer.

We are very proud of the achievements of each and every one of our students. In the face of all the uncertainty, the hard work and determination of our students has reaped dividends and culminated in success. Despite the disruption this year, we are delighted with our students’ performance.

Particular highlights from our results include:

· Sean gained 8 Grade 9s and 1 Grade 8
· Chris gained 8 Grade 9s and 1 Grade 7
· Savan gained 6 Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s
· Nahome gained 6 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 6
· Harris gained 5 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s & 1 Grade 7
· Patrick gained 4 Grade 9s 4 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7
· Damian gained 4 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s and 2 Grade 7s
· Emmanuel gained 2 Grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s and 3 Grade 7s
· Vinoorth gained 2 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, 3 Grade 7s and 1 Grade 6
· Gabriel gained 2 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, 3 Grade 7s and 1 Grade 6
· Nathan gained 5 Grade 8s and 4 Grade 7s

We are delighted that many of our students are remaining with us into the Sixth Form. They are studying a range of subjects including in the Sciences, Humanities, Maths and English and are ready to take the next steps on their academic journey.

Once again, our students have made superb progress. Well done! This is testament to their hard work and the high quality of teaching and support from our staff and the support of parents and carers.

We were delighted to welcome even more prospective pupils and families to our Open Morning today. The Headteacher led the tours personally, guiding visitors through the school, into lessons, and answering a wide range of questions about school life.

The Word of the Week is animal welfare, the physical health, mental well-being, and behavioural fulfilment of an animal   The Person of the Week is Dr Samantha Gaines who specialises in the effects of kennelling on the welfare of working dogs

Today's speaker was Jadesola Egunlae who spoke about her experiences in Investment Banking and using internships to boost your CV and employability. She was very inspirational to many of our students and we are very grateful for her giving up her time.

The Word of the Week is polyglot, a person who knows and speaks several languages   The Person of the Week is Romelu Lukaku who as well as having a successful football career is also a famous polyglot. It's cited that he speaks between 6-8 different languages!

The Word of the Week is Canonised, in the Roman Catholic Church, the official admission of a dead person into sainthood  The person of the week is Carlo Acutis, who was canonised as a saint on 7 September 2025 becoming the first 'millennial' saint
