CAREERS EDUCATION AND GUIDANCE
Careers Education and Guidance promotes the skills and understanding that are necessary for our students to make informed decisions about the choices that they face at each stage of their career development. Years Eight to Thirteen are identified as the recipients of Careers Education and Guidance. The college’s provision prepares students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.
All year 10 students receive the opportunity to attend a works skills workshop which proves to be an invaluable opportunity. It gives students skills and experiences that will allow them stand out to potential employers as well as helping students choose the right sector to work in. The workshop also equips students with a number of soft skills such as team working, communication skills and commercial awareness.

MOOC - A massive open online course (MOOC) is a free study programme designed to be studied online by large numbers of students. In addition to the usual course materials such as video lectures, reading material, coursework and tests, MOOCs provide forums that help students and tutors build an online community – another way to help you decide on a University course / potential future career.
