Open Evening 2023

Last week, our school opened its doors to prospective students and their families, offering a glimpse into our thriving educational community.

Guided tours showcased our well-equipped facilities, while faculty members introduced diverse academic and co-curricular opportunities, from STEM to the arts and sports. The speeches from our Headteacher as well as our students, emphasised our nurturing and inclusive environment. 

We'd like to thank all participants – parents, students, faculty, and staff – for making this event a resounding success.

We eagerly await new faces, ready to set the world alight and embark on a journey of growth, discovery, and success in our vibrant community.

We were delighted to welcome Capel Manor College for an assembly inspiring our students to think ahead about the exciting vocational pathways and apprenticeship opportunities available locally. Huge thanks to Alwiyah Qassim for bringing careers to life!

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming the Head of Apprenticeships at Royal Free London NHS Foundation. Thank you to Paul for his wonderful talk and taking the time to speak to our aspiring Medicine students and answering all of their questions.

Day 5 of Careers Week: UniFrog in Action We wrapped up Careers Week with hands‑on UniFrog practice sessions, helping students explore pathways, compare courses, and build the tools they need for their next steps. A great end to the week!

Your perfect job... On Day 4 of Careers Week, students looked at how their favourite subjects can shape their future. They explored skills they enjoy using, matched these to real‑world roles, and discovered new industries they may not have considered.

📣 Call for Local Work Experience Partners We’d love to hear from any local companies able to offer a Year 12 student a short work experience or volunteering placement (3–5 days) during 6-10 July. If your organisation can help, please get in touch!

We were incredibly proud to see our Student Jocel represent us so brilliantly at the Public Speaking Competition organised by the Catenians Association at St Edmund's College. A heartfelt thanks to the College and the Catenians Association - the day was truly exceptional.

What next? Day 2 of Careers Week gave students an opportunity to consider their future pathways. We looked at routes in to different careers and the next steps to consider after GCSEs. Students also discussed how to gain workplace experience.

What am I good at? We kicked off Careers Week with a brilliant session all about recognising our own skills, strengths and areas for growth. A big thank you to everyone who took part. Careers Week is off to a strong start!
